Ironside Dog Sports – Club Trial

Ironside Dog Sports would like to welcome everyone down to South Coogee Reserve to watch, support and enjoy the result of, in some cases many years of hard work and commitment our members have put into training their dogs to get them to their respective levels of this International Dog Sport.
IGP consists of 3 phases, Tracking, Obedience and Character. All 3 phases will be on display this Friday and Saturday over 4 levels. BH, IGP1, IGP2 and IGP3.
Friday (12th April 2024) kicks off with the Tracking phase for IGP 1 – 3 dogs, at 5.45am, at a yet to be disclosed location. Stay tuned for a unique opportunity to interact with our dogs during this phase. The announcement will be made Thursday afternoon.
Friday morning continues from 10am at South Coogee Reserve with our BH teams. BH is the compulsory entry level for all IGP dogs. The BH consists of 2 parts, obedience and a traffic test (tests the dogs temperament when faced with different environmental challenges).
Friday afternoon commences with the continuation of the IGP 1 – 3 dogs and their Obedience routines from 2pm.
The trial continues on Saturday from 9am for the IGP 1 – 3 dogs commencing with the Character phase of their titles. The result of this exciting phase of the trial will see the High in Trial dogs be determined. This trial we are fortunate to have 3 x IGP 2 and 2 x IGP 3 teams. The club is growing rapidly and we are beginning to get quite a number of dogs to the pinnacle of the sport. It’s exciting times for our club.
Throughout the trial food and drink will be available for purchase from the canteen. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase to be in the draw to win prizes kindly donated by our trial sponsors.

We hope to see you all down to South Coogee Reserve on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th April 2024 to witness some of the most amazing dogs in Perth.
We ask only one thing, please leave your best friends (dogs and animals in general) at home. The majority of our trial is conducted offlead and we cannot afford to have any incidents occur between our dogs or yours.
